Twokeep is not available yet. These pages describe the iPhone app as it is being tested, and details can change before launch.
How it starts
One of you chooses Share permanently on an item, or on an album, which shares the items it holds at that moment (1 to 100 items; later additions are not included). You choose whether it is for your partner or for both of you. The other person confirms with Face ID. Nothing changes until they do.
What it exposes
The recipient holds the full content key at rest for that item, by both controllers' choice, so the item is exposed if the recipient's phone is compromised.
The proposal sheet says this before you confirm. Share permanently only what you would accept being exposed that way.
What still applies
Each opening still needs Twokeep online, appears in both of your histories and can send a playback alert. If a screen capture is reported, the share pauses for that viewer until the other person confirms it again.
Lock now and blocking pause every opening until the freeze is lifted; the share and the recipient's key stay. Removing the item, removing the vault or closing it together ends the share.
Stopping it
Either of you can stop a permanent share at any time, without asking the other. Twokeep ends every viewing under the share and your partner's app erases its key. If their iPhone is offline, it keeps the key until it next goes online and erases it then.
A modified app could keep a copy of the key, and stopping the share cannot recall that copy.
If you lose your keys
Items your partner holds under a permanent share stay viewable for them even if you lose your iPhone and your recovery phrase.
